Living amongst the beautiful, rugged landscape of Northern Ontario, filled with lakes, rock outcroppings and trees compelled Theresa to draw and paint at an early age.

She has made art and design an integral part of her life and has always foud inspiration in her surroundings.

Theresa earned a certificate in Graphic Design at Humber College and worked in the advertising design field. She studied oil painting for many years with Victor Sullivan in Orangeville, Ontario. Victor introdced her to painting “plein air” which led to many excursions and producd exciting new dimensions in her landscapes.

"Painting, when the experience is an integral part of the process, whether doing an abstract, a still life or a landscape is my favourite way to create art." says Theresa.

Theresa was the 2016 Feature Artist at the Jesse Burnside Memorial Show and Sale in Massey, ON and her paintings have won awards at various shows throughout Ontario, including the 2018 and 2019 La Cloche Art Shows. She taught "Expressive Painting" courses for the Upper Grand District School Board in Orangeville and now holds acrylic painting classes in Walford, ON.

Theresa continues to learn, to experiment and to evolve as an artist. Art, like life is ever changing...she hopes you enjoy every moment!

Come back often to see her newest pieces and follow her progress "from the North". She also posts her current works on her page at www.facebook.com/theresa.minten.5
